Welcome to eMcKee.net, home of the Southwestern branch of the McKee's from Adair County Iowa.

Alexander McKee, and Jane Corrough emmigrated from Ireland in about 1865 to Adair County, Iowa.  A short family tree of our early ancestors can be found here.  From Iowa, the branch moved out towards Oklahoma, then on to the great Southwest.  One of our ancestors, Hugh McKee, received a small write up in the "History of Adair County".  See the link here.

Just a note....

I have been using Open Source Source software for over 8 years now. During my software travels, I found a program called "Gramps" to help with my family history. It's a really nice program. Check it out HERE. You can download a live CD as well as packages for your favorite Linux distribution!  Best of all, it's free!
